Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the IventNow mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The IventNow service

IventNow is a platform that lets you discover, create and manage events, guest lists and tickets, and connects event organizers with the people who attend their events. Organizers are independent and solely responsible for their own events, the content they publish and the payments they receive through their own Stripe account.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to create an account and use the Service.

4. Your account

• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that takes place under your account.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Organizers

If you organize events, you are responsible for those events, for the accuracy and legality of the content you publish, and for complying with all laws that apply to you, including consumer, tax and venue rules. You receive ticket payments directly through your own Stripe account and act as the seller of record for your events.

6. Tickets and payments

Ticket payments are processed by Stripe and paid directly to the event organizer, who acts as the seller. IventNow provides only the connecting technology and is not a party to the sale. Refunds, cancellations and any disputes about an event are the responsibility of the organizer and are handled in accordance with their policy and applicable law.

7. User content and acceptable use

You may post content such as events, images and text. You are responsible for the content you publish and must hold the necessary rights to it. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent or otherwise objectionable, and not to harass or abuse other users.

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You can report content and block users directly in the app. We review reports and will remove violating content and may suspend or terminate the accounts responsible, generally within 24 hours of a report being received.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and branding, belongs to IventNow and is protected by law. You keep the rights to the content you create, and you grant us a limited licence to host and display it solely to operate and promote the Service.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Expo, Apple, Google, and the geocoders used for address search (Mapbox, Photon/Komoot and Nominatim/OpenStreetMap). Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not control and are not responsible for the events listed on the platform or for the conduct of organizers or other users.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IventNow is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or your attendance at any event. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold IventNow harmless from claims arising out of your content, your events or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service and its users. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

14. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. When we change these Terms, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections available to you in your country of residence are not affected.
